Birthday Post- The Dirt on the Dirty Thirty

2019 is off to a dirty start.  Reason being, I am a January baby and this year, I’m turning the dirty 30.  I actually had no idea why this particular birthday was referred to as being “dirty”.  After a quick stop to the school of google, the urban dictionary taught me the following:
Dirty Thirty:  The age at which single women without children realise that their biological clock is ticking. As a consequence they may lower their standards and increase their willingness to perform sexual acts as a matter of desperation in order to find a mate/sexual partner.
Oh my.
How do I feel about turning 30 you may ask?  Well…

What Is In A Name? – The Italian SSN

When small things get repeatedly stacked against you, they begin to feel really big.   In case you were wondering, the Italian bureaucratic saga continues.  This next “small thing” I’m going to share with you definitely felt like a big thing at the time.  And it made me think of this scene from Rocky Balboa:
“The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. Re-Branding: D. for Diana and D. for Divorce

If you followed me for the past year, then you may know that a lot has changed in my life during that time. If you are new to the D. França Designs family, welcome! I am beyond grateful that you have decided to take the time to learn a little more about this dream of mine. So, I would like to take the opportunity to share with you how the current, re-branded, reborn D. França Designs come to be. Let’s get personal.
Last year I got divorced and decided to move to Italy from Utah. At the age of 28, I found myself in a seemingly perfect marriage to a man that loved me, living in our dream-custom built home, with the financial security that most people can only dream of. Yet, I was unfulfilled in so many levels.
